MISSION STATEMENT

Our core objective is to fill the decades long vacancy of pride and awareness of Hollywood’s century long romance with the High Desert through supporting our future filmmaker students, aspiring artists, and creative professionals. With local support, collaborative initiatives, workshops, and local events, we aim to harness our passion for the arts to create a synergy that elevates all realms of creativity within the community. Together we will unite our collective talent to share our stories and pave the way for a brighter future in the High Desert while creating numerous jobs and stimulate our economy through the next generation of artists and our industry professionals.

VISION

By revitalizing our rich history in the entertainment industry, it is our vision to bring an overwhelming sense of pride back to the community as once realized by our local silver screen legends such as Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. We envison our beloved desert community as not only an unmatched vibrant backdrop to countless films, but to become an indispensable hub to big city Hollywood full of endless creative potential within our community of professionals, future filmmakers, and performing artists. At the farthest reaches we envision High Desert Studios, a History of Hollywood Legacy Museum, and an educational institution for future filmmakers and performing artists with the latest tools, technology, and professional mentorship for all phases of filmmaking from pre-production to post-production and every step in between.

THE FUTURE FILMMAKER'S FUND

The Future Filmmakers Fund is the inaugural flagship initiative of The High Desert Association of Film, Theater, and Performing Arts. The core objective is to empower economically underprivileged and socially underrepresented aspiring student filmmakers by providing production grants, industry-standard equipment, and access to the latest animation, special effects, editing, and AI technology as well as mentorships by our board of creative professionals and other Hollywood writres, directors, and producers. Our focus is on creating a diverse range of impactful and marketable films targeted at achieving commercial success. Our primary target market comprises of future filmmaker students among the dozens of educational institutions in our community who offer a wide range of film and visual arts programs yet lack the access to funds, equipment, and resources necessary for cinema quality producion value and commercially marketable independent productions.

OUR BOARD

With over ten decades of collective real world experience our board members are the foremost authorities in their respective disciplines including: Location acquisition and management. Permitting and location logistics. Post-production encompassing: editing, 3D Animation, digital effects, and game development. Directors and production managers. On screen and live performance talent acquisition. Music production and composition. Together we represent every facet of production outside of marketing and distribution. Our board is highly qualified and dedicated to preparing the next generation of filmmakers and performing artists for a successful career in the entertainment industry.

FISCAL SPONSOR

The High Desert Community Foundation is a dba of Streams in the Desert established in 1993 currently sponsoring over 45 non-profit and philanthropic projects. With over 30 years of experience HDCF's Fiscal Sponsorship program is a comprehensive alternative to starting up and running a nonprofit organization by enabling leaders to cultivate innovative ideas for social good without the administrative burdens and bureaucratic red tape that go along with creating a stand-alone organization. The Foundation offers donors many services and benefits routinely working with families, individuals, attorneys, estate and financial planners to design gift plans that fit every economic situation. This ensures that donors receive the most benefit from their charitable contributions and that their philanthropic dollars are used to the fullest extent.
